Q: What is Succession Planning?

A: Succession Planning is a process during which either existing or recruited employees are developed to ensure that there is a planned transfer of powers, responsibilities and job functions when incumbents of key positions leave the company through retirement, or other means.  Succession Planning is also one effective way to retain talents as they appreciate the time, attention and develop the organization invested in them.
